Don't know if this is any help but we use these 2 sites when stuck for ideas:

ichild and sparklebox. (Sorry u'll have to google them) Does ur nursery have copies of stuff done last yr? Or old copies of Nursery World, they normally have ideas in them.

Ok had a quick look on the internet, very strange !!!!!!

Could you build some dens, or rather get the children to build them, and then have snack in them ???? Not quite the same, but the thought and principle was there !!

In Israel they eat and sleep out in the den they build!! I used to babysit for a Rabbi and they built one on the patio, it was too cold to sleep out there but they had all thier meals outside and i think prayers etc too. There is a great website.... http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk ... lendar.htm .....it has saved me lots of times when trying to cover festivals etc as well as listing the dates etc it gives you some info too!!! MIght help you with your new role miss p?
