Building a Cocoon

Find a brave child and explain to the that they are going to be covered in leaves.
A group of children then very carefully cover their friend with leaves and small twigs to make the person cocooned.
The child is then asked to wriggle free from the Cocoon very much like a butterfly
This is a great activity to help children understand how Catterpilars turn into Butterflies
This is also a good activity to help explain camouflage.
